ORDINANCE NO. /1.
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
. TEXAS , BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHEASTERN TER
RITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , WHICH LANDS ARE
DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT, the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended
so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the
same being more particularly described as follows:
1 BEGINNING at a corner in the present City Limit line said
p point being at the intersection of an easterly prolongation of the
south line of the W. H. Spiser Addition and the east right-of-way
line of Dittoe Lane,
I THENCE, north parallel to the Jacksboro Highway (U. S . 281)
a distance of 1640 fee t °
THENCE, north 26° 00' West approximately 1145 feet to a
point in the present City Limit line, said point being ;300 feet east
of the west right-of-way line of the Jacksboro Highway (U. S . 281) ;
THENCE, south along the present City Limit line to a point
in an easterly prolongation of the W. H. Spiser Subdivision;
THENCE, east along the present City Limit line to the
point of beginning and containing 29.1 acres more or less:
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3-A of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls) Texas , this ordinance is , on

SECTION 3, The fact that many people will want to reside
in the territory described in this ordinance and will be unable to
take advantage of city conveniences, fire and police protection,
sanitary and health measures, creates an emergency and it is hereby
declared that the foregoing ordinance is an emergency measure on the
grounds of urgent public need for the protection of the general
welfare, and this ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its
passage and approval.
