AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO . 164.1, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AND REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND SECTIONS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" BY AMENDING SECTION 171 OF ARTICLE
XXI, DECLARING CERTAIN SPECIFIED STREETS TO BE ONE-WAY STREETS.
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable in order to expedite the move-
ment of traffic in Wichita Falls , and to relieve congestion of
traffic on streets in Wichita Falls, to declare and designate cer-
tain such streets as one-way streets; and;
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable in order to coordinate the
movement of traffic into and out of Wichita Falls and the traffic
on the Red River Valley Expressway; that certain streets be desig-
nated and declared to be one-way streets .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
That Section 171 of Article XXI of Ordinance No. 164.1 is hereby
amended to read as follows :
"Section 171. One-way Streets - In accordance with Section
63 and when properly sign postec ,traffic shall move only in the
direction indicated on the following streets :
NAME OF STREET DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC MOVEMENT
Austin 5th to 18th South
Travis 5th to 18th North
Holliday 5th to 18th South
Broad 5th to 18th North
Bluff nth to 18th South
Burnett 5th to 18th North
5th Brook to Ohio West
6-th Brook to Ohio East
8th Brook to Ohio East
9th Brook to Ohio West
10th Brook to Ohio East
.11th Brook to Ohio West
12th Grace to Ohio East
Ardath From Harrison, 100 feet east East
The Expressway East Frontage street shall be one-way in a north
bound direction from 5th Street north to the Wichita River and from
a point 200 feet south of North First Street north to the City Limits .
The Expressway West Frontage Street shall be one-way in a south
bound direction from Fifth Street north to the Wichita River and
from Scotland Drive north to the City Limits .

The East Frontage Street shall be two-way from 200 feet south
of North First Street south to the Wichita River and the West Fron-
tage Street shall be two-way traffic from Wichita River north to
Scotland Drive. "
