AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHEASTERN
TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH, y'NDS
ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 4, 2
Toil)BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHI A
FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in Wichita
County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be annexed and
to be included within the corporate limits of the city of Wichita
Falls , Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended so as to
include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being
more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at a point in the south right-of-way of Farm to
Market Road #369, said point being N. 00° 4.6 ' E. 84.2. 9 feet
and S. 79° 39 ' E. 1724.. 8 feet from the southwest corner of a
200. 72 acre tract of land described in Vol. 313, page 202,
Wichita County, Texas, deed records;
Thence S. 79° 39 ' E along the south right-of-way line of
Farm to Market Road #369 to an intersection with the south
right-of-way line of State Highway #799
Thence S 47° 18 ' west along the south right-of-way line of
State Highway #79 to a point in line with the west line of
a ten acre tract of land described in a deed from Joe A.
Best; Jr. and Ralph Hines, Jr. recorded in Vol. 826, Page
258 , Wichita County, Texas, deed records;
Thence N. 01° 111E along the west line of said ten acre
tract 1213 feet more or less to the place of beginning
containing 15. 3 acres of land more or less .
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3-A of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wieita Falls , Texas , this Ordinance is on
the 46 day of - , 1961 introduced and the
City C `erk is directei opu. is said Ordinance one time in a
newspaper of general circulation, published in the City of Wichita
Falls , Texas , and seven days thereafter this Ordinance may be fi-
nally acted upon.
SECTION 3. The fact that building construction is being carried
on in this territory and City services and sanitary and health mea-
sures will be needed, creates an emergency and it is hereby declared
that the foregoing Ordinance is an emergency measure on the grounds
of urgent public need for the preservation of the peace, health
and safety of property of the City, and this Ordinance shall go
into effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
This Ordinance having been introduced on the ay of
