ORDINANCE NO. ' G'
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS ,
TEXAS BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE NORTHERN TERRITORIAL
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TElilAS , WHICH LANDS ARE DES-
CRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. (ALL PROPERTY SOUTH OF U.S . HIGHWAY 287
EXPRESSWAY FROM LYNWOOD WEST , SECTION ONE , TO SUNSET TERRACE)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERNEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS :
SECTION 1 . That the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and included within the corporate limits of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended
so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the
same being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a corner in the present city limit line, said
corner being in the South right-of-way line of the U. S.
Highway 287 Expressway and being 208.2 feet S 89° 391 E
and 1201.2 feet N 00 071 E from the northwest corner of the
David Welch Survey, abs. 324;
Thence S 0o 071W along the present city limit line 1041.2
feet;
Thence S 89° 43 ' . E along the present city limit line 835. 8
feet;
Thence S 00 03 ' E along the present city limit line parallel
with the west line of the David Welch Survey, A-324, 2077
feet more or less to the center line of the right-of-way
of the north main canal of the former Wichita County Water
Improvement District No. 1;
Thence continuing along the meanders of the City lia.it line
easterly to the west right-of-way line of Ridgeway Drive;
Thence continuing along the present city limit line north-
easterly along the west right-of-way line of Ridgeway Drive
to the south right-of-way line of U.S . Highway 287 Expressway;
Thence northwesterly along the south right-of-way line of
the said U. S. Highway 287 Expressway to the place of beginning
and containing 228 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3-A of the amended
Charter 9f the City of ,Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on
the ii day of Jr, „ - 7 , 1961, introduced and the City
Clerk is directed to pudlish said ordinance one time in a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally
acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the AkX, day of
