Ord 1973 11/13/1961 ORDINANCE NO. /5'11 ----
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1952 AND SETTING THE TIMES FOR
THE REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF :WICHITA
FALLS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, it is desired by the Board of Aldermen to set the
times for the meetings of the Board of Aldermen so that as many
citizens as possible having business with the Board of Aldermen
will be able to attend any regular meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I . That in accordance with Section 34.5 as amended,
of the Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, the regular
meeting times of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls
shall be the second Monday of each month and the fourth Monday of
each month, both at 7:00 o 'clock P .M.
SECTION II . Ordinance No. 1952 and all other Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION III . The need to set the times for the meetings
of the Board of Aldermen so that as many citizens as possible may
attend creates an emergency, and in order to protect the public
health, welfare and to preserve the peace, this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately, and it is so ordained.
