Ord 1976 1/8/1962 ORDINANCE NO . )q' AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THE STREET FORMERLY KNOWN AS COUNTY FARM ROAD, SCOTT STREET, VIRGINIA STREET AND CALIFORNIA STREET WHICH EXTENDS FROM HATTON ROAD NORTH ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SOUTHERN HILLS, DITTOE HEIGHTS, ,HILLCREST AND HOLLIDAY GARDENS ADDITIONS TO U.S. HIGHWAY NO. 281 AND STATE HIGHWAY NO. 79, TO ARMORY ROAD, AND REPEAL- ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls has been requested by the County of Wichita rand other interested parties to change the name of the street known as County Farm Road, Scott Street, Virginia Street and California Street to Armory Road within the said City of Wichita Falls, and WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas , believes it to be to the best interest of the said City that the name be changed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD CF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1: That portion of the street within the City limits formerly known as County Farm Road, Scott Street, Virginia Street, and California Street which extends from Hatton Road North along the east line of Southern Hills, Dittee Heights, Hillcrest, and Holliday Gardens Additions to U. S. Highway No. 281 and State Highway No. 79, be renamed Armory Road; SECTION 2: That all Ordinances or portions of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
