RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS; PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, .TO-WIT: GALVESTON STREET, FROM THE NEST EDGE OF THE VIRGINIA STREET PAVING TO THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF MISSISSIPPI STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 15 WIDENING GALVESTON STREET, FROM THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF MISSISSIPPI STREET TO THE EAST CURB LINE OF MILL STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 16 VAN BUREN STREET, FROM THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF FIFTH STREET TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF SIXTH STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 17 BROOK AVENUE, FROM THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF FIFTH STREET TO THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF TRUEHEART STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 1$ WIDENING BROOK AVENUE, FROM THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF TRUEHEART STREET TO THE NORTH CURB LINE OF SEVENTH STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 19 KEMP BOULEVARD, FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF AVENUE U TO THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE WICHITA VALLEY RAILWAY, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 20 KEMP BOULEVARD, FROM THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF NINTH STREET TO THE NORTH PROPERTY_LINE.OF TENTH STREET., DESIGNATED.AS UNIT. NO,. 21 DENVER AVENUE, FROM THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF FIFTH STREET TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF SEVENTH STREET, TO BE DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 22 VENUE K, FROM THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF MONROE STREET TO THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF POLK STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO. 23 THE UNPAVED AND UNIMPROVED PORTIONS OF TWELFTH STREET, FROM THE CENTER LINE OF LAMAR-TRAVIS ALLEY TO THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF AUSTIN STREET, DESIGNATED AS UNIT NO, 24 AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS FOR THE MAKING AND CONSTRUCTING OF_SUCH IMPROVEMENTS._ EREAS, by resolution passed on the 17th day of. April, A. D. 1950, and as amended by resolution passed on the 12th day of June, 1950, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, declared the necessity of improving Galveston Street, from the west edge of the Virginia Street paving to the west property line of Mississippi Street, designated as Unit No. 15 Widening Galveston Street, from the west property line of Mississippi Street to the east curb line of Mill Street, designated as Unit No. 16 Van Buren Street, from the south property line of Fifth Street to the north property line of Sixth Street, designated as Unit No. 17 Brook Avenue, from the south curb line of Fifth Street to the south property line of. Trueheart Street, designated as Unit No. 18 Widening Brook Avenue, from the south property line of Trueheart Street to the north curb line of Seventh Street, designated as Unit No. 19 Kemp Boulevard, from the north property line of Avenue U to the north right- of-way line of the 'Wichita Valley Railway, designated as Unit No. 20 Kemp Boulevard, from the south property line of Ninth Street to the north property line of Tenth Street, designated as Unit No. 21 Denver Avenue, from the south curb line of Fifth Street to the north property line of Seventh Street, designated as Unit No. 22 Avenue K, from the west property line of Monroe Street to the east property line of Polk Street, designated as Unit Nom 23 The unpaved and unimproved portions of Twelfth Street, from the center line of Lamar-Travis Alley to the east property line of Austin Street, designated as Unit No. 24 by raising, grading and filling same, and paving same with the materials and in the manner and methods stated in said resolutions, and installing cement concrete curbs and gutters, and storm sewers and drains where necessary, and gave the method by which it was proposed that payment be made therefor, and directing the City Engineer to have plans, profiles and specifications and estimates of the proposed improvement prepared; and JHEREAS the said City Engineer has prepared such plans, profiles and speci- fications and estimates and has filed same with the Board of Aldermen, and the same have been examined and inspected and corrected where. necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF NICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: That the said plans, profiles and specifications and estimates be, and they are hereby, adopted and approved as those under, by and in accordance with which the said improvements shall be made and constructed That the said City Manager be and he is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids for the making and constructing of the said improvements, in the manner and for the length of time and in the form required and provided for by the City Charter and the laws in force and effect at this time, and by the Ordinances and proceedings of this B ard, and such bids will be received until_., and shall be opened on, the j,0,4 day of 7--111.. )/195-0 , at JO 1t M. o'clock, and all bids shall be made in,the form and in the manner• and,accompanied by certified check and by the guarantee provided and required by the said specifications.
