COST OF IMPROVEMENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO BE ASSESSED
FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF NORTH BROOK AVENUE
ANDS/PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STREETS IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING TO OWNERS OF ABUTTING PROPERTY AND OTHERS
INTERESTED, DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE
AND PROVIDING SUNDRY OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, has heretofore ordered that the portions of streets
and avenue in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereinbelow
described and hereinafter enumerated and designated by unit or
district numbers, be improved by raising, grading and filling
same and by installing concrete curbs where same
are not already installed on proper grade and line, and by
constructing thereon a Six Inch Reinforced Concrete Pavement,
together with incidentals and appurtenances, including sidewalks
where shown and provided for on the plans and including storm
sewers and drains where same are shown and provided for on the
plans; all of which said improvements are to be constructed
where shown and in strict accordance with the plans and spec-
ifications now on file with the City; and,
WHEREAS, bids were duly advertised for and received,
were fully tabulated, canvassed and considered, and the bid of
Stuckey Construction Company, having been found to be the lowest
and most advantageous, was accepted by the City of Wichita Falls;
and,
WHEREAS, a form of contract to be executed by the City
has heretofore been executed by Stuckey Construction Company and
is now on file with the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls has caused the City Engineer to prepare and file estimates
of the cost of such improvements and estimates of the amounts
per front foot proposed to be assessed against abutting property
and the owners thereof and such estimates have been examined;
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
Such estimates be, and they are hereby, adopted and
approved.
II.
It is hereby found and determined that the cost of im-
provements on each portion of street and avenue, with the amount
or arpounts per front foot proposed to be assessed for such im-
provements against abutting property and the owners thereof on
each such portion are as follows, to wit:

On NORTH BROOK from center line of N. Third to No. prop-
erty line of Lincoln, known and designated as Unit or District
No. 7: the estimated cost of the improvements is $/67/4,2-e;
the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut and which front on said portion
of North Brook Avenue and against the owners thereof is $1.83;
the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut on said North Brook Avenue but
which front on some street other than North Brook Avenue and
against the owners thereof is $1.22.
On NORTH FIFTH from West curb line of N. Brook to paving
on North Broadway, known and designated as Unit or District No. 8:
the estimated cost of the improvements is $ 6 884), the
estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut and which front on said portion of
North Fifth Street and against the owners thereof is $1.83; the
estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut on said North Fifth Street but
which front on some street other than North Fifth Street and
against the owners thereof is $1.22.
On LINCOLN STREET from west property line of N. Scott to
east curb line of N. Brook, SAVE AND EXCEPT the intersection
of Lincoln Street with N. Lamar Street, known and designated as
Unit or District No. 9: the estimated cost of the improvements
is $ 16 Lx.,./(P.'7/C ; the estimated amount per front foot to be
assessed against those parcels of property which abut and which
front on said portion of Lincoln Street and against the owners
thereof is $2.20; the estimated amount per front foot to be
assessed against those parcels of property which abut on said
Lincoln Street but which front on some street other than Lincoln
Street and against the owners thereof is $1.46.
On PARK STREET from N. line Lot 14, Blk. 5, Boyd Add.
to center line of Flood, known and designated as Unit or Distriict
No. 10: the estimated cost of the improvements is $/J707
the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut and which front on said portion
of Park Street and against the owners thereof is $1.83; the
estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut on said Park Street but which
front on some street other than Park Street and against the owners
thereof is $1.22.
On HOLLIDAY STREET from So. property line of Fifth to No.
property line of Seventh, known and designated as Unit or District
No. 11: the estimated cost of the improvements is $/./79,‘../7 ;
the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut and which front on said portion of
Holliday Street and against the owners thereof is $2.92; the
estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against those
parcels of property which abut on said Holliday Street but which
front on some street other than Holliday Street and against the
owners thereof is $1.95.
III.
A hearing be given and held by and before the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls to all owning or claiming
any property abutting upon said portions of streets and avenue,
as well as all owning or claiming any interest in any such
property. Such hearing shall be given and held on the AeAr
day of June, A. D. , 1950, at o'clock, /0. M. , in4
Room in Memorial Aud torium in the City of Wichita Fall ,

Texas, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of
the time and place of such hearing and of other matters and facts
in accordance with and under the terms of the powers and pro-
visions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of th4 First Called Session
of the Fortieth Legislature of the State of Texas, now shown as
Article 1105b of Vernon' s Texas Civil Statutes, under which law
these proceedings are taken and had. Such notice shall be by
advertisement inserted at least three times in a newspaper pub-
lished in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, the first publication
to be made at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing.
IV.
The City Clerk is directed to prepare, sign and file with
the County Clerk of Wichita County, Texas, a notice in accordance
with the provisions of the Act passed at the Fifth Called Session
of the Forty-First Legislature of the State of Texas and shown as
Chapter 21 of the Acts of said Session of the Legislature, said
Act having been passed in the year 1930, now shown as Article
1220a of Vernon' s Texas Civil Statutes.
V.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force and
effect on and after its passage.
