Res 75 6/12/1950RESOLUTION NO. 7....4- A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 1389 12,000,000 GALLON UPDRAFT SOFTENING UNIT FOR THE.WICHITA FALLS WATERWORKS SYSTEM. WHEREAS John P. Ruhmann, Water Engineer of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, has heretofore prepared plans and specifications for the construc- tion of 12,000,000 gallon Conventional Settling Basins or 12,000,000 gal- lon Updraft Softening Unit, which plans and specifications were thereafter duly adopted and approved for such construction and bids were advertised for and received, and on the Sth day of June, 1950, such bids were opened; and WHEREAS the bids received have been fully tabulated, canvassed and considered, and the Board of Aldermen, after fully cons'dering the same, is of the opinion that the bid of /en/4s d e L L o Ws 74 Kc T o,' e. — Wa C_o -- 4X S is the lowest and most advantageous and should be accepted for IS-J-GReilike or 12,000,000 gallon Updraft Softening Unit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF 'WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: That the bid of hf/y cv z_ Co N s z , e 7/'o) , for the erection and construction of z•- 12000,000 gallon Updraft Softening Unit, in the sum of $ 0 00 0 ° be, and the same is hereby, accepted and that a co tract in t'1- form and with the terms as set forth in said plans and specifications be made and entered into, in accordance with such plans and specifications and in accordance with the Charter and Ordinances 'of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the laws of the State of Texas, and that 1&i,v/f I/I/o a d (1, 7' M;.be authorized to execute said contract for and on behalf of staid City of Wichita Falls.
