RESOLUTION AMENDING SUNDRY RESOLUTIONS RELATING
TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF AVENUE K AND
A PORTION OF POLK STREET IN THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS,TEXAS, WHICH SAID SUNDRY RESOLUTIONS HAVE
HERETOFORE BEEN PASSED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, by resolutions numbered 57, 61 and 65, passed
by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
on the 17th day of April, 1950, the 24th day of April, 1950 and
the 15th day of May, 1950, respectively, among others,
Avenue K from Polk to Santa Fe"
and
Polk Street from Bullington to Kings Highway",
were ordered improved and various provisions relating to the
improvement of said portions of avenues and streets were set
out in said resolutions; and,
WHEREAS, certain intersections with the above described
portion of Avenue K and with the above described portion of Polk
Street have already been permanently improved and for that
reason those permanently improved intersections should have been
omitted when describing the portion of Avenue K and the portion
of Polk Street to be improved; THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
It is hereby found and determined that it is not
practical to proceed with the improvement of those portions of
Avenue K and Polk Street as heretofore provided for, but that
said portiohs of Avenue K and Polk Street should be redescribed
so as to properly reflect and describe the portions of said
Avenue K and Polk Street to be improved.
II.
In each and every place in each of the resolutions
hereinabove mentioned wherein the description, of that portion
of Avenue K to be improved did read:
Avenue K from Polk to Santa Fe"
each said resolution be, and is hereby, changed and amended so
that the description of that portion of Avenue K to be improved
will and does read:
AVENUE K from Polk to Santa Fe, SAVE AND EXCEPT
those intersections of Avenue K with other streets"
which have already been permanently paved or improved."
In each and every place in each of the resolutions
hereinabove mentioned wherein the description- of that portion

of Polk Street to be improved did read:
Polk Street from Bullington to Kings Highway"
each said resolution be, and is hereby, changed and amended so
that the description of that portion of Polk Street to be im-
proved will and does read:
POLK STREET from Bullington to Kings Highway,
SAVE AND EXCEPT the intersection of Polk Street with
Talunar Lane."
III.
Each and all of the terms and provisions of each of
the resolutions hereinabove mentioned are hereby made applicable
to and do hereby apply to that portion of Avenue K and that
portion of Polk Street as hereinabove redescribed the same as
if said terms and provisions of said resolutions had been
rewritten and reenacted herein, and each and all of the terms
and provisions of said resolutions shall relate to that portion
of Avenue K and that portion of Polk Street as same have been
redescribed herein, with the same force and effect as if Avenue
K and Polk Street had been described correctly in the first
instance.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force and
effect on and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 12th day of June, 1950.
