RESOLUTION AMENDING SUNDRY RESOLUTIONS RELATING
TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF LINCOLN STREET
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH SAID
SUNDRY RESOLUTIONS HAVE HERETOFORE BEEN PASSED
BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, by resolutions numbered 59, 62 and 66, passed
by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
on the 17th day of April, 1950, the 24th day of April, 1950,
and the 15th day of May, 1950, respectively, among others,
Lincoln Street from West property line of N. Scott
to East curb line of N. Brook"
was ordered improved and various provisions relating to the
improvement of said portions of avenues and streets were set
out in said resolutions; and,
WHEREAS, the intersection of Lincoln Street with N.
Lamar Street has already been permanently improved and for that
reason the permanently improved intersection of the above
described portion of Lincoln Street with N. Lamar Street should
have been omitted when describing the portion of Lincoln Street
to be improved; THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
I.
It is hereby found and determined that it is not
practical to proceed with the improvement of that portion of
Lincoln Street as heretofore provided for, but that said
portion of Lincoln Street should be redescribed so as to
properly reflect and describe the portion of said Lincoln
Street to be improved.
II.
In each and every place in each of the resolutions
hereinabove mentioned wherein the description of that portion
of Lincoln Street to be improved did read:
nLincoln Street from West property line of N. Scott
to East curb line of N. Brook"
each said resolution be, and is hereby, changed and amended so
that the description of that portion of Lincoln Street to be
improved will and does read:
LINCOLN STREET from west property line of N. Scott
to East curb line of N. Brook, SAVE AND EXCEPT the
intersection of Lincoln Street with N. Lamar Street."

III.
Each and all of the terms and provisions of each of
the resolutions hereinabove mentioned are hereby made applicable
to and do hereby apply to that portion of Lincoln Street as
hereinabove redescribed the same as if said terms and provisions
of said resolutions had been rewritten and reenacted herein, and
each and all of the terms and provisions of said resolutions
shall relate to that portion of Lincoln Street as same has been
redescribed herein, with the 'same force and effect as if Lincoln
Street had been described correctly in the first instance.
This resolution shall take effect and be in force and
effect on and after its passage.
