A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF A 1,000,000 GALLON STEEL
ELEVATED WATER TANK AND A 317,000 GALLON STEEL STANDPIPE:.OR
A 130,000 GALLON STEEL ELEVATED WATER TANK, AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER.TO ADVERTISE, FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS FOR THE.MAKING
AND CONSTRUCTING OF SUCK IMPROVEMENTS
1NTEREAS A it has been deemed advisable to erect and construct 'a
1,000,000.Gallon Steel Elevated Water Tank and a 317,000 Gallon Steel
Standpipe or a 130,000 Gallon Steel Elevated Water Tank
WHEREAS, John P Ruhmann, Water Engineer for the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, has prepared plans and specifications for such con-
struction,' and the same have been examined and inspected and corrected
where necessary,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
That the said plans and specifications be and they are hereby
adopted and approved as those under, by and in accordance with which
the said improvements shall be made and constructed.
That the City Manager of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, be
and he is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids for the
making and constructing of said improvements in the manner and for
the length of time and in the form required and provided for by the
City Charter and the State laws in force and effect at this time
and by the Ordinances and proceedings of this Board, and that such
bids will be received until, and shall be opened on, the 30th day
of June, 1950, at 2 o 9 clock P. =M,, and all bids shall be made in the
form. and in the manner and accompanied by cashierts or certified
check and by the guaranty provided and required in such specifications.
This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage.
