Moved by Alderman Brown that the Council concur with the contents
of a letter of core endation written to Mr.. Joe E. Ward by the local. Water aunt
Sewage Study grouts of the Citizens a Committee, and that a copy of_the same be
spread upon the Minutes, as hereinafter set forth.
Motion aecoeded by Alderman Abbott,and carried.
JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE WATT R STUD! GROUP AND THE SL,AGE STUDY GROUP OF THE ' _
CITIZENS COMMITTEE
Respectfully submitted to the General Committees
WHEREAS, both the Water Study Group, headed by Chairman R. Mills Tittle, and the
Sewage Study Group, headed by Chairman Grover ful.l.ingtori, both individually and inin
Committee sessions, had an opportunity to study the cam".rehehai,ve Survey of
Water and Sewage Needs for the City of Wichita Falls made by Joe E. Ward, Con—
suiting Engineer of Wichita Falls, and
WHEMEAS, the Committees have found this survey, together with its recommendations,
to be of outstanding excellence and commendably thorough in every detail, and,:.
WHEREAS, the Committees recognize the fact that such a study could not have
qbeenaccomplishedwithouttheexpenditureofconsiderabletime, effort,.money and
personal attention, all of which were contributed by Mr. -Ward,, at no expense -
to the City of Wichita Falls,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Water Study Group and the Sewage Stud
Group, individually and jointly, request the General Citizens Committee to eprese='
to lr. Joe E. Ward and his associates their appreciation for his splendid public
service and personal interest in the welfare of his City, and that the General
Committee transmit this Resolution to`the Wichita Falls-City Council,; in order
that our City•Officials might know the genuine appreciation these Committees ;fe
toward Joe E. Wars.
