ORDINANCE NO. / 99'0
AN ORDINANCE PERMANENTLY CLOSING AND ABANDONING ALL STREETS AND
ALLEYS IN THE OAK CLIFF ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
BEING PARTS OF CALIFORNIA AVENUE AND CREST STREET.
WHEREAS, by instrument dated June 9, 1951, J. F. Patton, Jr. ,
planted the following described 4.94 acres which he designated as
Oak Cliff Addition to the City of Wichita Falls and dedicated the
streets and alleys shown on the plat of record in the office of
the County Clerk of Wichita County, Texas . Said 4.49 acres is out
of Block No. 6 of the Irrigation Subdivision of the John A. Scott
Survey No. 10, Abstract 302, Wichita County, Texas, described as
follows :
Beginning at a point 20 feet north and 20 feet west
of the southeast corner of said Block No. 6;
Thence west parallel with the south line of said
block 466.7 feet a stake;

Thence north 466.7 feet a stake;
Thence east 466.7 feet a stake;
Thence south 466.7 feet to the place of beginning.
WHEREAS, the State Highway Department of the State of Texas
has acquired all of the above described property, which will be
included in the expressway now being constructed, and said High-
way Department has requested that the City close and abandon the
streets and alleys in said subdivision.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :
SECTION 1. That all of the alleys, and all of those parts
of California Avenue and Crest Street which lie within the Oak
Cliff Addition to the City of Wichita Falls , Texas , as described
above, be and the same are hereby closed and abandoned for use as
public alleys and streets.
