Res 18 1/12/1948RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the
City of Wichita Falls held at the regular meeting place in the Council Room
of the Memorial Auditorium Building in said city of the 12thday of January.,
A. D, 19181 at which a quorum was present, came on to be considered the
ret=ns of the Special city election held on January 3, 1948., for the purpose
of submitting to the qualified voters of said city for adoption or rejection
of House B ill No. 34 of the State of Texas, creating a Fikemenst and Policemenst
Civil Service Law, and
WHEREAS, after canvassing returns of the said Special city election
for the adoption or rejection of House Bill No. 34 of the State of Texas,
creating the Firemens' and Policemens' Civil Service Law, it was found to be duly
and legally held in all respects and that there were cast at said election

thus it appearing that House Bill No. 34 was approved,
NOW.9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERIE N OF T,iE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS., TEXAS:
That the adoption of House Bill No. 34 of the State of Texas,
creating a Firemens' and Policemenst Civil Service Law., was duly and legally
approved., and said election was in all respects duly held in accordance with
the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter and Ordinances of said city.
