ids, _on the 21st day, of .August y 1947., the City. of Wichita Falls,$ Texas,
and the United .States of tzneri.ca entered into Lease %o. T 5260' 169 covering ap-
proximately 604 acres of land., located in the Coo ty.of Wichita,, State: of Texas,
- which ,land as ' used by the Government for the construction and use as an Army
airfield; and,
2rA,S, on the 15th day. of April, 1947, the said airport was declared
surplus to the needs of the War Department; and
UEREAS, on the 25th day of dune, 1947, jurisdiction of the said wort
was transferred by the � -ar Dapart .ert to the. ar Assets A&ndnistr�11on for

WHMEAS., the War Department has directed that a portion 'of Sheppard Field.,
namely land occupied by the %ollaairZ buildings ThL -hers 241, 25, 26, 27, 28,
29., 30, 36., 37., 39; 50., ' 51., 52., 53, 54, 704, 705, vith buildings thereon,
together with right of ingress and egress, and necessary utilities, be - ,6-th-
drawn from surplus category and placed uxder the jurisdiction of the War Depart -
xrent for vzo by the civilian compor:ents of the r.rBd Forces; a.rd
1FWMAS, the -Tai assets Administration has authorized the rAthdrawal of
said buildings, land., and utilities for use by the Armed Forces, provided the
said War .Assets A€ Anistration, #s successors and assigns, is relieved of its
obligation of restoration insofar as the facilities occupied by the said Armd
Forces are concerned;

Assets Ad ifiistrstion, its successors and assigns, of all terms and conditions
of Lease No. 26(P)169 insofar as said lease pertaixas to a portion- of Sheppard

to be allo -wed the uninterrupted -use of the utility systems serving th6 area
