TILT WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls and Wichita County,
Texas, owns jointly Lots 4 and 5 of Downings Subdivision of of Lot 2,
Block 3 of the Bellevue Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
together with furniture and fixtures now situated therein, and being
more fully described as "Nurse's Home" at 806 Brook Street in the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, and
WHEREAS, Wichita County advertised said property for sale at
10:00 o'clock a. m., November 10, A. D. , 1947, and
WHEREAS, said property was struck off to H. C. Preston of
Burkburnett, Texas, the highest bidder for cash, in the sum of Eighteen
Thousand ($18,000) Dollars, and
W '4 S, said sale was made, subject to the approval of the
County Comissioner of Wichita County, Texas, and the Board of Alder-
men of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved as follows: That the City of
Wichita Falls accept and approve said sale for its undivided one-half
1/2) interest in the above described property for a cash consideration
of Nine Thousand ($9,000) Dollars.
That Mayor W. B. Hamilton be, and he is, hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Deed and Bill of Sale conveying to H. C. Preston
the undivided one-half (1/2) interest in the above described property
belonging to the City of Wichita Falls upon the payment of the total
cash consideration to said city in the sum of Nine Thousand ($9,000)
Dollars.
