A RESOLUTION JOINING IN THE REQUEST of THE- HOUSING
AUTHORITY of THE, CITY OF WICHITA FALLS To THE FEDERAL PULIC
HOUSING AUTHORITY TO NEGOTIATE THE SALS OF WEST OVER HILLS,
PROJECT TEX- 41121, TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF TEE CITY of
WICHITA FALLS FOR THE PRPOSE OF PROVIDING HOUSING FOR THE
LOW INCOME GROUP.
WHEREAS, Westover Hills; Project. Tex,- r41121, has been
operated under lease to the Horusing Authority of the City of
Wichita Palle, Texas, and has., "been notified by Federal Public
Housing Authority* that disposition will have to be made of-the
Project; and
Whereas, there is need of this housing to take care of
low income tenant group in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas; and
Whereas, at a meeting of the Commissioners of the Hous-
ing Authority of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, on December
16, 19460 the said Mousing ,Authority of the City of Wichita
Falls passed a Resolution requesting the F.P.H.A. to negotiate
the sale of Westover Hills, Project Tex -41121 to the said Hous-
ing Authority of the City of Wichita Falls for the purpose of
providing housing for the low income group, at which meeting
the Mayor of -the City of Wichita Falls,, W.B. Hamilton, the City
Manager,. George Fairtrace, and Aldermen,, C.A. Spra,ggins, A.J.
Eastman, E J. Wi.nnerger, Jima Baber and Melvin B. Evans, were
present, and at said time agreed that said request to negotiate
a sale of said Project to the Housing Authority of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, should be made; and
' hereas, the said Federal Public Housing Authority re-
quires a Resolution be passed by the Beard of Aldermen, request -
ing that said sale of Westover Hills be negotiated with the Hous-
ing Authority of the City of 1i0hita. Falls.
NOW; THMFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
That the City of Wichita Falls does hereby join with the Housing
Authority of the City of Wichita. Pails in its request that the
F.P.H.A. negotiate the sale of Westover Fills, Project Tex - 411211
to the Housing Authority of the City of Wichita Falls for the pur-
pose or providing housing for the lour lnc me g up.
