AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF ELEVENTH STREET ADJACENT TO
AND SEPARATING BLOCKS 196 AND 197 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN SITE OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS EXTENDING FROM THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF OHIO AVENUE EASTWARD
TO THE ALLEY, SAID PORTION BEING HEREINAFTER MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED.',
WHEREAS, The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close that portion of Eleventh
Street hereinafter described,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That that portion of Eleventh Street hereinafter described
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned, said portion of Eleventh Street
being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Block
196 and the northeast corner of the inter-
section of Eleventh Street with Ohio Avenue,
said point being the southwest corner of Lot
6, Block 196, Original Townsite; THENCE easter-
ly with the south line of Block 196 a distance
of 150 feet to the southeast corner of said j
Lot 6; THENCE southerly with the west line of
the alley a distance of 80 feet; THENCE wester-
ly with the north line of Block 197 a distance
of 150 feet to the northwest corner of Block
197; THENCE northerly with the east line of
Ohio Avenue a distance of 80 feet to the place
of beginning.
SECTION II. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserves
an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind
and character of utility lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone, tele-
graph, and power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
