Al) A0 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO . 1890, CREATING PLUMBING ADVISORY BOARD AND PRO- VIDING FOR AUTHORITY THEREOF, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby created a Board of Advisors for the City of Wichita Falls which shall be known as the Plumbing Advisory Board. The Plumbing Advisory Board shall consist of five (5) members, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, and shall serve for a term of two (2) years each. One member of said Board shall be a Mechanical Engineer, one member of said Board shall be an employee of Lone Star Gas Company, one member of said Board shall be a licensed master plumber, one member of said Board shall be a licensed jour- neyman plumber, and one member of said board shall be an individual who is in no way associated with any of the other four members of the Board. The Secretary of said Board shall be the Plumbing Inspector for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas. All members of said Board shall be residents of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas and shall serve without pay. On the first Board appointed hereafter, three members shall be appointed to serve one year terms, and two members shall be appointed to serve two year terms . Thereafter, each member shall be appointed to serve two years. SECTION 2. The Plumbing Advisory Board shall investi- gate and make recommendations to the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls , as to modifications in the Plumbing Code of the City of Wichita Falls , and use of new materials that come onto the market. The Plumbing Advisory Board shall have authority to grant modifications or variances to the Plumbing Code of the City of Wichita Falls for any specific case. In varying the applications of any provision of the Plumbing Code or in modifying an order of the Plumbing Inspector not less than three (3) affirmative votes shall be required. Any such decision shall be in writing and shall specify in what manner such variation or modification shall be made and the conditions upon which it shall be made and the reasons thereof , one of which reasons must be to prevent undue hardship . SECTION 3. The Plumbing Advisory Board shall promul- gate its own rules of procedure and shall meet at such times, as it may set, and shall be subject to called meetings by either the Secretary of said Board or the Chairman of said Board.
