AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS, ADJACENT TO THE NORTH TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in Wichita County,
Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be annexed and to be included
within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the
corporate limits be extended so as to include said tract of land in Wichita
County, Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection cf the South Right-of-Way line of U. S.
Highway 287 Expressway with the West Right-Of-Way line of Grandview East
Street, which is also a corner in the present City Limits as described in
City Ordinance No. 1967.
THENCE in a Southeasterly direction }.long the present City Limits line,
which is also the South Right-of-Way line of said U. S. Highway 287 Express-
way, to its intersection with the West line of the S. Holloway Survey, A-496.
THENCE North 2,080 ft. along the present City Limits line, which i
also the West line of said S. Halloway Survey, A-496, to a point in the North
Right-ol-Way line of the U. S. 277-281 Spur 325-U. S. 287 Expressway, inter-
change.
THENCE West, approximately 700 ft. , across the Northe4most part of
said interchange to a point in the North line of said U. S. Highway 287
Expressway.
THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along the North Right-of-Way ine
of said Highway to its intersection with a projection of the West Right--of-
Way . line of Grandview East Street.
THENCE South, across said highway to the point of beginning and con-
taining 89.0 acres of land, more or less.
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 3-A of the Amended Charter of
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on the 8th day of July ,
1963, introduced and the City Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one
time in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted
upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the 8th day of July ,1963
and having been published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texa.,, to wit, the Wichita Fall Record News, one time to wit,
