SUBJECT: XTRA ! 0RK t' ILT �R BLDG.
COMMENT:
When the contract for the new filter building was let, the
42 inch connection from the filters to the old clear well was not in-
cluded. It was believed at the time that the City would be able to do
this work themselves. However, it is now time to install the connection
and we do not have sufficient skilled personnel. to do this work and Meet
our other commitments by summer. This has been brought about by the
difficulty of obtaining material ui the last nine months.
rye now desire to add this trork to the Ransdell Construction
Company contract as "extra work" on a cost plus 15% basis as set out in
the specifications for extra. work.
It is requested that a resolution be paSS0d approving; this
bond money expenditure as soon as possible. The estimated cost of this
work is $8,500.00 and the City will furnish most of the labor and a
compressor to keep the cost down. The City will also furnish material.
