Ord 2043 9/23/1963 ORDINANCE NO . o2 oZt7113 AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING TRAFFIC TO MOVE AND PROCEED IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION IN THE ALLEY BETWEEN IAMAR STREET AND TRAVIS STREET FROM TENTH STREET TO ELEVENTH STREET; FIXING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The alley between Lamar Street and Travis Street from Tenth to Eleventh Streets is hereby declared a one-way alley and all vehicles entering said alley shall enter from th north entrance of same and shall move and proceed only in a southerly direction while therein. SECTION 2. The Chief of Police shall cause to be placed at appropriate points in streets and alley intersections proper signs showing and indicating the direction traffic may move and the points of the intersections of streets and alleys where the entrance of vehicles is prohibited the Chief of Police shall place appropriate signs showing same . SECTION 3. A person violating any part of this ordinance shall upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not more than TWO HUNDRED (S200.O0) DOLLARS. Because traffic is becoming conjested in the above-named alley and because there is no reasonable means of correcting same creates an emergency and the rule requiring the reading of ordi- nances on three separate days is hereby suspended and this ordi- nance shall take effect from and after its passage , approval and publication as required by law.
