Ord 2069 2/10/1964 ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2019, AS AMENDED,
WHICH PROVIDED FOR CLASSIFICATION OF ALL FIREMEN
UNDER CIVIL SERVICE, BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF
ASSISTANT CHIEFS FROM 1 TO 2, AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 2019, as amended, which provided
for the classification of all firemen under Civil Service, is hereby
amended by changing the number of positions in Classification VI,
Assistant Chief, from 1 to 2 .
Section 2 . The fact that the Fire Department needs an additional
Assistant Chief to provide the utmost efficiency for the Fire Depart-
ment creates an emergency, and in order to protect the public safety
and welfare, it is declared that this ordinance shall become effec-
tive immediately upon its passage.
