AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAMES OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN
' THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, OR
PORTIONS THEREOF, IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning ::paid of the City of Wichita Falls has recom-
mended that the Board of Aldermen change the names of certain streets
within the City of Wichita Falls; and,
WHEREAS, the oard of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls believes
that it is in the best interest of said City that such name changes be
made,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:.
Section 1. The names of the following streets shall be changed as
shown, effective August 15, 1964:

1. New Church Street Church Street
20 F . M. Highway 369 Southwest Parkway
3, Tank Farm Road Airport Drive
4, North Charleston Place,
5. South Charleston Place, and
6s Trenton Terrace Brentwood Drive
7 . An unnamed street located
between Featherston and Kemp,
South of Lot 13, Block 69,
Faith Village Quill Street
Section 2m All ordinances, or portions thereof, in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. The fact that certain conflicts now exist between the
present names of some of the above streets and other streets in the City
of Wichita Falls which sometimes causes confusion to drivers of emergency
vehicles, creates an emergency, and in order to protect the public health, .
welfare and safety, this ordinance shall become. effective immediately, and
the street name changes shall become effective on the date above shown.
