'.`r R S, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Te_.as, having learned of the untimely passing of
Mr. R. E. Shepherd, our beloved En- Kayor, who at the time
of his death was a resident of Dallas, Dallas County, Tecas;
and,
'M. EAS, during his lifetime, Mr. Shepherd served this
City,as its Mayor, with honor and distinction both to himself
and the City; and,
!'aIEn.EAS, although he had left this community to make his
home elsewhere, he has been remembered by the people of this
community as the "singing" Mayor and was hold in high esteem
and respect by them:

of the City of Wichita galls, T cnas, that we record in the
minute books of the City of ','tai cli i to Falls, a record of the
passing of our beloved Ex-Mayor, Mr. R. E. Shepherd of Dallas,
Texas, in token of the love and esteem held by the citizenry
of this City.
B IT FURTHETP RESOLVED that we express this, our appreciation
of his life and service among us, particularly with reference
to his love and useful service to this co:f7mini ty, both as an
individual and in his capacity as Mayor, and that this humble
expression of our respect for him be ,properly recorded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
furnished to members of his family, together with our deepest
sympathy for them in their bereavement.
