RESgUTION N0. 313
BE IT RESOLM BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS:
THAT the City of Wichita Falls does hereby approve the Plans and Specifications
for the Nmicipal Airport to be constructed by the United States Air Force, as prepared
and submitted by Forrest & Cotton, Arch4ects, and the Corp of Engineers, Tulsa District,
with the following changes to be made as agreed uponc
1. The area designated as "Weather- Operations" on Plate 10 is to be deleted
from the Plans, The City of Wichita Falls will provide and construct
a building to serve the Weather Bureau and CAA offices separate and apart
or adjoining the Terminal;.
2. Air Conditioning is to be included in the ba,�ic plan for the building.
3. The area designated "baggage claim" on Plate 10 is to be re-- located in
accordance with sketches prepared by Forrest and Cotton,
4. The addition of a,,- janitors supply closet and rearrangement of entrance to
the mechanical room and men's room are to be rearranged.
5. The entrance from the southwest side of the building is to be changed
in accordance with sketches by Forrest & Cotton,
6. Certain interior walls are to be designed to relieve the monotony
of customary concrete block patterns.
7. All windows on the southwest elevation of the building are to be
eliminatedb
8. The concrete block on the southwest elevation is to be laid in patterns
to improve the exterior appearance,
9. Insulated panels are to be used at the bottom as well as the top in the
windows located on the northeast elevation of the waiting room and
dining room,
10. A gate is to be installed in the wire fence at the south corner of the
apron,
11. The architects will confer with Braniff and Continental officials to
determine their requirements for radio and teletype equipment.
