Regular meeting, t the regular meeting place, with the follow-
ing members present, to-wit:

s with the following absent: Bill G. Hale constituting
a quorum, at which time the following proceedings were had
Al.c erm :n J. B. Jarratt introduced a resolution and
moved that it be adopted. The motion was seconded by Alderman Avery Mitchell
The motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution prevailed by the
following vote:
YEAS: Aldermen Hall, Bonner, Fraley, Mitchell and
Jarrett and Mayor.Jpell.

TJfl' QUESTION OF TBE ISSUANCE OF $500,000.00
SEWER IMPROVEMENT AND EXTENSION BONDS.
WHi EAS, heretofore on the 11th day of June, 1957, the
Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Tcxaa, adopted a resolution
callings an election to be held in said City on the 29th day of June, 195 7, on

II the following proposition:
Shall the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
F lls, Texas, be authorized to issue the bonds of said City
in the s= of $500,000.00, maturing serially in such install-
manta as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen, the maximum
maturity being not more than Thirty (30) years from their
date, bearing interest at a rate not to exceed Five (5%) per
cent per annum, and to levy a tax sufficient to pay interest
as it accrues and principal as it matures on said issue of
bonds, for the purpose of improving and extending the City's
4 sanitary sewer system, as authorized by the Constitution and
laws of the State of Texas."

place specified after due notice as required by law had been given by pouting
and publication; and

votes:
FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER DTROVETIENT AND 787
EXTENSION BONDS" Votes;

as Is reflected in the election returns heretofore filed with the City Clerk;
and
WMREAS„ only qualified taxpaying voters owning taxable
property in said City and who had duly rendered their property for taxation
were allowed to vote;
BE IT RESOLVED BY TTh BOARD OF ALDERPEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA rAus, TEXAS:
l. That said election was duly called; that notice was
given in accordance with law and in accordance wit the resolution calling
the election; that the election was held in accordance with law; that the
returns of said election have been made by the proper officers; that a
majority of the qualified voters who own taxable property in said City and
I who have duly rendered the sere for taxation voting at said election have
voted in favor of the issuance of said bonds.
2. That the Board of Aldermen is in all things
authori,zed to issue osid bonds and to do any and all things necessary or
convenient in connection therewith.
