WHEREAS, the City National Bank in Wichita Falls, Texas., has deposited in
trust with the First National Bank in Dallas the sum of 53002000.00 in U.S. Treasury
Bonds, as security for the account of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, as evidenced
by First National Bank in Dallas Certificates Nos 5.688 and 56136, as hereinafter
set forth:
Cert. No. 516885 dated 11- 18 -54, 2 1/2% U.S. Treasury Bonds of 1956 -58,
due 3- 15 -5g, No. 23074 @ 100M 100,000.00
Cert. No. 56136, dated 2- 17- -55, 2 1 /4% U.S. Treasury Bonds of 1959 -62,
due 2- 15 -b2, Nos 39886/39887 @.100M ea 200,000,00
and MEREIAS, the City National Bank in Wichita Falls, Texas, has requested
release of the above described U.S. Treasury Bonds, and
MEREAS, the City National. Bank in Wichita Falls, Texas, agrees to substitute
in lieu thereof $300,000.00 2 1/8% U.S. Treasury Bonds, due 11- 15 -60;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIC BOARD OF ALDERiIIEN OF THE CITY OF T;,IICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS:
THAT the City Clerk of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, be and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to accept as security for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
3300,000.00 2 1/0 U.S. Treasury Bonds, due 11 -15 -60 and surrender the above described
bonds as evidenced by First National. Bank in Dallas Certificates Nos. 54688 and 56136
aggregating the sum of X300,000.00, now on deposit vrith the First National Bank in
Dallas,

on the above date, at 8:00 o'clock P.T. in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg.,

Moved by Alden -aan Cox that Resolution No. 289 be and the same is hereby adopted
and approved as read.
Motion. seconded by Alderman Liepold and carried by the follokring vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hyatt, Reichmuth, Banner, Cox, Lam and Liepold.
