Res 288 2/13/1956RESOLUTION NO. 208
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Alderman of the
City of Wichita Falls, that the City of Wichita Falls convey
to the Wichita Falls Chapter of the American Red Cross, the
following described tract of land for a consideration of
TEN DOLLARS ($10 .00) , to be used as a Chapter House by the
said Red Cross Organization; further to authorize Mayor Lloyd C. Thomas to
sign deed to above tract for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
BEING a portion of Lot One (1 ) of Block
Seven (7 ) , Bellevue Addition to the City of
Wichita Falls .
BEGINNING at a point, the Northeast corner
of Lot One (1 ) , Block Seven (7 ) , Bellevue
Addition, said corner being also the intersec-
tion of the south property line of Fifth Street
and the west property line of Baylor Street ;
THENCE West along the South line of Fifth
Street a distance of 90.0' to a point;
THENCE South parallel to Baylor Street a
distance of 111 .0' to a point;
THENCE East parallel to Fifth Street a
distance of 90 .0' to a point on the West line
of Baylor Street;
THENCE North along the West line of Baylor
Street a distance of 111 .0' , to the place of
beginning, and containing ,229 acres, more or
less .
