WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Wichita Falls, held at the regular meeting place in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium Building in the City of Wichita Falls on the 27th day of
December, A. D. 1954, at which a quorum was present, came on to be considered
returns of a special City Election held December 14, 1954 for the purpose of
voting upon the proposition of continuing or discontinuing artificial fluoridation
of the City water supply, and
W1HEREAS, after canvassing the returns of the said Special Election
with reference to continuing or discontinuing the use of artificial fluoridation
of the city water supply, it was found to be duly and legally held in all respects,
and there were cast at said election 3410 votes, as follows:
For continuing artificial fluoridation of the
city water supply 1418 votes
Against continuing artificial fluoridation of
the city water supply 1892 votes
it thus appearing that continuation of the use of artificial fluoridation
of the city water supply was disapproved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALD,TRMEN OF THE CITY
OF ',,ICHITA FALLS:
THAT the motion duly made and seconded at a Council meeting held
October 30, 1950, authorizing and directing the use of fluorine salts in the
water supply of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, was duly and legally disapproved
and is of no further force and effect and the same be and is hereb« repealed
as of this date, and said election was in all respect duly and legally held in
accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the charter of said City.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 27th day of December, A. D. 1954.
