BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS the City of Wichita Falls is a participant under the Texas
Municipal Retirement System; and
WHEREAS such participation is intended to take care of the physically
handicapped employee who becomes permanently disabled in the course of his
employment, or after ten years service, for any reason; and
WHEREAS such retirement was entered into for the purpose of obtaining
better and more qualified employees for the City of Wichita Falls;
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that all physically handicapped employees
who are eligible for retirement under the provisions of the Texas Municipal.
Retirement System shall, and they are hereby rcquired to take a physical
examination, and in the event such physical examination determines a total
disability that is compensable under the terms of the City's contract with the
Texas Municipal Retirement System, then such employee is hereby required to
apply for such benefits in order that said employee may be replaced by a phy-
sically competent person.d--
