AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2127,
INCREASING THE NUMBER OF FIRE LIEUTENANTS
FROM 19 to 20, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN CF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2127 is hereby amended by
increasing the number of positions in the classification of
Fire Lieutenant from nineteen (19) to twenty (20) .
SECTION 2 . The fact that this amendment is necessary
in order to re-schedule the shifts in the Fire Department as
a means of increasing the efficiency of such department, so
that it can better protect and preserve the peace, health
and safety of property of the City, creates an emergency, and
it is therefore declared that this ordinance shall become
effective immediately as an emergency measure.
