AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
CHESTER STREET LYING BETWEEN BLOCK 31 OF THE I.
JALONICK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AND BLOCK 1 OF THE SIBLEY-TAYLOR ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest to close that
portion of Chester Street hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: THAT that portion of Chester Street hereinafter
described be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned, said
portion of Chester Street being described as follows:
From the east right-of-way line of Bluff Street
to the west right-of-way line of Burnett Street and
lying between Block 31 of the I . Jalonick Addition
to the City of Wichita Falls and Block, 1 of the
Sibley-Taylor Addition to the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2 . The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby
is
reserves an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and
maintaining all kind and character of utility lines, including
water, gas, electric, telephone, telegraph, and power lines, and
sanitary and storm sewers.
