Ord 2170 6/21/1965 ORDINANCE NO. 4/70. AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHEASTERN TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE (BONHAM SCHOOL, SOUTH- EAST BOYS ° CLUB AND NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY SITES) .. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the corporate limits be ex- tended so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows: A tract of land out of Block 8, Kemp. and Newby Subdivision of the Cherokee County School Lands, Abstract 33, Wichita County, Texas. Beginning at a corner in the present City limits, as described in City Ordinance No. 1862 and No. 1954, said corner being also the intersection of the West line of Armory Road with the South boundary line of John A. Scott Survey No. 10, Abstract 302 and lying in the center line of Thirtieth Street; Thence East with the centerline of Thirtieth Street 452 feet; Thence South 2543 feet to the Southeast corner of a tract of land occupied by the Texas National Guard Armory; Thence West 392 -feet to the East line of Armory Road, a corner in the present City limit line as described in City Ordinance No. 1632, dated November 12, 1953; Thence West 60 feet to the West line of Armory Road and the South line of Thirty-Eighth Street; Thence North along said West line of Armory Road and the present City limits as described in City Ordinance No. 1862, November 23, 1959, 2543 feet to the place of beginning and containing 25. 366 acres of land, SECTION 2 . In conformity with Section 3-A of the Amended Charter of the City of NAchita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on the c 4 day of , 1965, introduced and the. City Clerk is directed to publish. said ordinance one time in a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon.
