AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS
ADJACENT TO THE NORTHERN-TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS', TEXAS, : WHICH LANDS ARE DES-
CRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE (U. S. 277 EXPRESSWAY TO
BURKBURNETT FROM THE PRESENT CITY-LIMITS TO AIRPORT
DRIVE) .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same` is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the corporate limits be ex-
tended so as to include said" tr.act of land in Wichita County,
Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at a point in the present City Limits as described
in City Ordinance No. :1928 and No. 2028; said point
being the intersection: of the West boundary line of
the S. Holloway Sur.vey `Abstract 496 with the North
R. 0. W. of the Expressway interchange.
Thence in a Northwesterly direction along the East R. O. W. of
U. S . Highway 277 Expressway 2,376 feet to the North
R. 0. W. of Airport Drive;
Thence West 326 feet along the North R. 0. W. of Airport Drive
to the West' R. O. W. of said U. S. Highway 277 Express- --
way;
Thence in a Southeasterly direction 2,128 feet along the West
R. 0. W. of U. S. Highway 277 Expressway to a point
in the present City Limits ;
Thence East along the present City Limits 700 feet to the place
of beginning and containing 15. 54 acres of land..
SECTION 2 . In conformity with Section 3-A of the Amended
Charter of the City of Wichita'-Falls., Texas, this ordinance is
on the day of r, r'ic ,i 1965, introduced and
the City Clerk is directed to piblish said ordinance one time in
a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be
finally acted upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the ,,4e.4dayof
1965, and having been published in a news
paper of eneral circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
to-wit, the Wichita Falls Record News, one (1) 'time, to-wit, on
