ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY IN BLOCK
NO. 10, SECTION ONE, WESTMORELAND PARK ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND RESERVING
AN EASEMENT FOR UTILITIES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest to close the
alley hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY --THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION l.' That the following described alley in Block No.
10, Section One, Westmoreland Park Addition to the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, to-wit:
Being: .S ::15 foot alley adjacent to :Lots 5;,: _17 , and 18, Block 10,
Section One, Westmoreland Park Addition to the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, being further described by metes and-bounds as
follows :
BEGINNING at a point in the southeast corner of said Lot 5, said
point being in the: west line of said existing alley;
THENCE N 25° 13 ' W along said west alley line a distance of 92 .17
feet to a point for corner, said point being in' the south
line of a proposed alley;
THENCE N 70° 30 ' E along said south alley 'line a distance of 97 .08
feet to a point for corner, said point being in the north line
of said Lots 17 and 18;
THENCE S 64° 47 ' W along said north lot line a distance of 81. 60
feet to a point for corner, said. point being in the present
northwest corner of said Lot 17';
THENCE S 25° 13 ° E along the west line' of said Lot 17 .a distance
of 89. 58 feet to a point for corner, said point being in the
north line of an existing alley;
THENCE N 89° 57 ' W along said north alley.right-of-way line a. distance
of 16.59 feet to the place of beginning; containing 1,768
feet (0.041 ac. ) more or less; _
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls, , Texas, hereby reserves
an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all
kind and character of utility lines, including water, gas, electric,
telephone, telegraph and power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
