AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF SIXTH STREET LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 244 and
245 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest to close
that portion of Sixth Street hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS', THAT:
SECTION 1® That portion of Sixth Street hereinafter des-
cribed be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned, said portion
of Sixth Street being described as follows :
From the east right-of-way line of Holliday Street
to the west right-of-way line of U. S. 287 Express-
way and lying between Blocks 244 and 245 of the
Original Townsite of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas .
SECTION 2 . The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserves
an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining
all kinds and character of utility lines, including water, gas,
electric, telephone, telegraph and power lines, and sanitary and
storm sewers.
