AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM
THE GENERAL FUND FOR TRANSFER TO THE 1963
LIBRARY BOND FUND
WHEREAS, there now exists in the unappropriated surplus
in the General Fund the sum of $54, 523. 38 which is restricted
for library use; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen desire that this money
be used for the purpose of remodeling the Kemp Public Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the
unappropriated surplus in the General Fund the sum of $54, 523. 38,
for transfer to the 1963 Library Bond Fund.
SECTION 2 . The fact that the remodeling of the Kemp
Public Library is almost completed, and this money is now
needed for certain phases of this remodeling, creates an emer-
gency, and this ordinance shall therefore become effective
immediately upon its passage.
