AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS
ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHWESTERN TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE
DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE (WESTERN HILLS BAPTIST
CHURCH SITE) .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the corporate limits be ex-
tended so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County,
Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows :
Being all of Block 1, Section F, University Park, an
addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, as shown -
on the plat of record in the Plat Records of the County
Clerk of Wichita County, Texas, and containing 3. 2 acres
of land.
SECTION 2. In conformity with Section 6 of Article 970a
of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, before these annexation
proceedings were instituted, the Board of Aldermen called a
public hearing on December 6, 1965, to provide an opportunity
for all interested persons to be heardf notice of such hearing
was published once in the Wichita Falls Record News' not more
than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the .
public hearing. Such public hearing was held on December 6, 1965,
which was not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10)
days prior to the institution of these annexation proceedings.
SECTION 3. In conformity with Section 3-A of the amended
Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on
the 16th day of December, 1965, introduced and the City Clerk is
directed to publish said ordinance one (1) time in a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and seven (7) days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted
upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the 16th day of
December, 1965, and having been published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to-wit, the Wichita
Falls Record News, one (1) time, on the 17th day of December,
1965, and seven (7) days after such publication having elapsed,
this ordinance is finally passed and approved this the / t4 day
