WHEREAS, the bonds hereinafter authorized were duly and
favorably voted, as required by the Constitution and laws of the
State of Texas, at an election held in said City on the 8th day
of December, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the bonds hereinafter authorized are to be
° issued and delivered pursuant to Vernon's Articles 1111 through
1118 , and particularly Article 1118n-10.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF

come due and payable serially on the dates in each of the years,

Said bonds may be redeemed prior to their scheduled maturities ,

THIS BOND is one of a Series of coupon bonds dated
{ FEBRUARY 1, 1966, issued in the principal amount of $3,800,000
' FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING AND EXTENDING THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM
OF THE CITY.
ON FEBRUARY 1,. 1981, OR ON ANY INTEREST PAYMENT DATE
1,' THEREAFTER, any outstanding bonds of this Series may be redeemed
[I prior to their scheduled maturities , at the option of said City,
IN WHOLE, OR IN PART, for the principal amount thereof and accrued
interest thereon to the date fixed for redemption. At least
thirtY days prior to the date fixed for any such redemption said
City shall cause a written notice of such redemption to be pub-
p lished at least once in a financial publication published in the
ai City of New York, New York. By the date fixed for any such re-
demption due provision shall be made with the paying agents for
the payment of the principal amount of the bonds which are to be
so redeemed and accrued interest thereon to the date fixed for
redemption. If such written notice of redemption is published
71, and if due provision for such payment is made, all as provided
above, the bonds which are to be so redeemed thereby automaticall
shall be redeemed prior to their scheduled maturities, and they

Section 6 . That the term "Outstanding Bonds," as used

herein, shall mean the outstanding bonds of the City' s Water and 1
Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 1963, authorized by ordinance dated
11 August 1, 1963. The Series 1966 Bonds authorized hereby are parity
"Additional Bonds" as defined and permitted in the aforesaid
ordinance dated August 1, 1963, and Sections 8 through 23 of said
ordinance, are adopted by reference and shall be applicable to 1
'p. said Series 1966 Bonds for all purposes , except to the extent

hereinafter specifically modified and supplemented. The Series
1966 Bonds and the Outstanding Bonds are and shall be secured by
and payable from a first lien on and pledge of the Net Revenues
of said City' s Waterworks and Sewer System, and all of said obli
gations shall be on a parity and of equal dignity in all respects.
pi It is hereby certified and recited that the City' s First Mortgage,
Waterworks Revenue Bonds, Series 1947, and its Sewer Revenue Bonds,
ii Series 1949, have been duly redeemed prior to maturity, cancelled,
i and are no longer outstanding; and said bonds do not constitute an
encumbrance on the Net Revenues of the City's Waterworks and Sewer
System for any purpose.
Section 7. That, in addition to all other amounts re-
quired by the ordinance authorizing the Outstanding Bonds, there ,
shall be deposited into the Interest and Sinking Fund, created for
fi the benefit of said Outstanding Bonds and all Additional Bonds,

Ali (a) such amounts , in equal monthly installments ,
made on or before the 15th day of each month hereafter,
as will be sufficient to pay the interest scheduled to

come due on said Series 1966 Bonds on the next interest
payment date; and

made on or before the 15th day of each month hereafter,
as will be sufficient to pay the next maturing princi-
pal of said Series 1966 Bonds .
Section 8. That, in addition to all other amounts
h required by the ordinance authorizing the Outstanding Bonds ,

benefit of said Outstanding Bonds and all Additional Bonds , on o .
