Ord 2218 3/14/1966 ORDINANCE NO. J00/J? AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND A:ANDONING A PORTION OF SIBLEY AVENUE AND TWENTIETH STREET BETWEEN BROAD AND BLUFF STREETS IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS. WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems it advisable and in the public interest to close that portion of Sibley Avenue and Twentieth Street hereinafter described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FAEJLS, TEXAS : SECTION 1: THAT that portion of Sibley Avenue and Twentieth Street hereinafter described be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned, said portion of Sibley Avenue and Twentieth Street being included within the following described tract of land: Being a parcel of land out of the Sibley Avenue and Twentieth Street Rights-of-Way and also out of the original Lot 13, Block 1 of the Sibley-Taylor Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, and being more particularly descri- bed as follows : COMMENCING at the intersection of the east right- of-way line of Broad Street and the north right- , of-way line of Sibley Avenue, said point also being the southeast corner of Lot 4, Block 1 of the Taylor Addition as remaining from the original Broad Street dedication; THENCE N 68° 01 ° E with the north right-of-way line of Sibley Avenue and the south line of Block 1 a distance of 4.7 feet to he POINT OF BEGINNING of the tract herein described; THENCE N 68° 01 ° E continuing along said right-of- way a distance of 434. 66 feet to a point; THENCE S 13° 19 ' E a distance of 68. 35 feet to a point; THENCE S 76° 41 W a distance of 429. 26 feet to a point; THENCE N 21° 59 ° W a distance of 2 .89 fe-t to the point of beginning, and containing 15, 298 square feet of land, more or less . SECTION 2 . The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserves an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character of utility lines, including water, gas, elec- tric, telephone, telegraph, and power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
