WHEREAS , the Board of Aldermen has heretofore set out
requirements for subdivision platting in Resolution No. 276, and
WHEREAS, said. Resolution No. 276 does not provide for
bench markers nor does it require vertical control , and
HEREAS , the public interest of the City of Wichita Falls
demands that better survey control be maintained in all subdivisions .
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT R OLVED BY THE DO.RD OF ALDERMEN
OF Tai= CITY 07 WICIITA FULLS , T ,i'. S :
THAT, the vertical controls established, by the United. States
Coast and eodetic Survey is hereby adopted for the City of wichita
Falls . From and after the date of adoption of this resolution each
person platting a subdivision -;iiithin five miles of the corporate
limits of the City of :,ichita Falls shall cause to be installed.
within the public right-of- way at a location designated by the City
Engineer one bench marker for each 100 lots platted.. The bench
arkers shall be installed within the third order of accuracy and
shall be so located that no lot hereafter platted within five miles
of the City of Wichita Tails shall be more than 1000 feet from a
bench marker. :;hen tin bench marker is installed in a satisfactory
manner, the subdiviaer shall suyply the following= information to the
City Engineer : the location of the bench marker and the elevation
of the same. The cans for the bench mar'-'ers shall be furnished by
the City Engineer at cost , and the same shall be installed in
satisfactory concrete pillars .
