IEREAS , Captain Joe H. Moore of the Wichita Falls Police
Department served the City of Wichita Falls in his department ably
and with honor for thirty-one years prior to his death on January 9,
1961, and
r11 1EREAS, Captain Moore, throughout his thirty-one years
of service as Patrolman and an Officer on the Police Force , was
respected by all who [anew him and who worked with and for him, and
iW'HEREAS, his sincerity, honesty, and loyalty to the
Department and to his job was above reproach, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls desires to express its re'rets to the family of Captain Moore.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS :
THAT, the City of Wichita Falls does hereby express ,
officially, its sympathies to Frs . Ema Moore, and be it further
resolved that a copy of this resolution be delivered to Mrs. Ema
Moore and to the Police Department of the City of Wichita Falls.
