WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has voted certain bonds
for the improvement of the Municipal Water Supply of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, and
WHEREAS, it is determined proper that the Municipal Water
Treating Plant be constructed for the improvement of the water faci-
lities, and
WHEREAS, a certain area has been determined to be the best
suitable location for the Municipal Water Treating Plant.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Wichita Falls that the following tract of land is designated as the
location for the Municipal Water Treating Plant:
BEING nine (9) parcels, or tracts of land out of Block No. 17,
League No. 1, Denton County School Lands, in Wichita County, Texas,
located approximately five and one-half (5-+) miles southwestward from
Wichita County Courthouse; and being parts of a subdivision dedicated as
Westmoreland Park Acreage", said dedication and the accompanying plat
being recorded on pages Nos. 103 and 104 of Book No. 3 of the Wichita
County Plat Records in the County Clerk's Office; said nine (9) parcels,
or tracts containing a total of 29.397 acres of land more or less, and
being more particularly described as follows:
TRACT NO, 1: Lots Nos, 1A3,4 , and 5, and the northeaster ly
66. 17 feet of Lot 'No. 6 in Block No. 102 of the said Westmoreland Park
Acreage subdivision, and containing 3.635 acres of land more or less.
TRACT NO. 2: All of Block No. 103 of the said Westmoreland
Park Acreage subdivision containing 4,535 acres of land more or less.
TRACT NO, 3: Lots Nos, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Block 111
of the said Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision, containing 4.535
acres of land more or less.
TRACT NO. 4: Lots Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 of Block
111 of the said Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision, containing 4.535
acres of land more or less.
TRACT NO. 5: Lots Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block No. 112 of the
said Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision, containing 2.427 acres of
land more or less.
TRACT NO. 6: Lot No. 14 and the northeasterly 81. 17 feet of
Lot No. 13 of Block info. 112 of the said Westmoreland Park Acreage sub-
division, containing 1.426 acres of land more or less.
TRACT NO, 7: Lots Not. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Block No.
115 of the said Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision, and containing
4.535 acres of land more or less.
TRACT NO, 8: Lots 8, 9, 10, and 11 of Block No. 115 of said
Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision, and containing 3.517 acres of
land more or less.
TRACT NO 9: Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Block
No. 114 of the said Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision;
THENCE South 57° - 12' West along the Northwesterly line of
said Block No. 114 a distance of 120. 10 feet to a corner;
THENCE' 6Oeth 32° - 48' East 182.49 feet to a point in the East line
of said Block 114;
THENCE North 0° - 33t East 214.46 feet to the point of
beginning;
Containing 0.252 acres of land more or less out of Lot No.
1, Block No. 114 of' the said Westmoreland Park Acreage subdivision,
and the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to
acquire the above described land by purchase or by eminent domain
proceedings.
