AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1347,
INCREASING THE RENTAL CHARGE TO BE PAID BY PERSONS,
FIRMS AND CORPORATIONS ENGAGED IN THE SALE OF GAS AND
WHO USE THE STREETS, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC WAYS OF SAID
CITY, TO THREE (3) PER CENT OF THE GROSS INCOME FROM
THE SALE OF GAS WITHIN THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1347, as amended
by Ordinance No. 1906, is hereby amended so that it shall
hereafter read as follows:
"Section 1. There is hereby levied against each and
every person, firm and corporation engaged in the sale of
gas (natural and/or artificial and/or mixed) in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, a rental charge of Three (3) per cent
of the gross income from the sale of gas (natural and/or
artificial and/or mixedr within such City; such charge is
made for the use of the streets, alleys and public ways of
said City by such persons, firms and corporations engaged
in the gas business. "
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1426 is repealed as of the
effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. This)0rdinan e shall be effective as of the
