Ord 2262 8/15/1966 ORDINANCE NO. �02 602-- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-101 OF THE 1941 CODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES, INCREASING THE SPEED LIMITS FOR RAILROAD TRAINS AT CERTAIN LOCATIONS WITHIN THE CITY. SECTION 1. Section 7-101 of the 1941 codification of ordinances is hereby amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows: "Section 7-101: That it shall hereafter be unlawful to operate or run or cause to be operated or run, within the cor- porate limits of the City of Wichita Falls, any railway engine, car or train of cars at a greater rate of speed than 15 miles per hour, except that the following speed limits shall apply at the locations shown: 30 miles per hour on the main line track for F.W. & D.C. Railway and M.K. & T. Railway Company from the East City Limits to the 7th Street crossing; 8 miles per hour across the 7th Street crossing; 30 miles per hour on the main line track for F.W. & D.C. Railway Company from the 7th Street crossing to a point 2000 feet West of Vermont Avenue; 35 miles per hour from a point 2000 feet West of Ver- mont Avenue to the West City Limits. " SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective when standard railroad warning signal installations have been com- pleted at the Jacqueline crossing, the Vermont crossing and the Rosewood crossing.
