Resolution authorizing the purchase of one automated side load
sanitation body and one front load body through the BuyBoard
Purchasing Cooperative from Heil of Texas in the amount of
243,590.00; with the option to purchase three additional units in
October of 2014
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from competitive
bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Gov’t Code § 271.102(c), which provides:
c) A local government that purchases goods or services under this subchapter satisfies any state
law requiring the local government to seek competitive bids for the purchase of the goods or
services.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Heil of Texas through the BuyBoard
Purchasing Cooperative offers the “best value” for the purchase of 2 sanitation bodies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase one
automated side load sanitation body and one front load body through the BuyBoard
Purchasing Cooperative from Heil of Texas in the amount of $243,590.00, with the
option to purchase three additional units in October of 2014.
