AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS
ADJACENT TO THE EASTERN TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE DE-
SCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. (EXPRESSWAY EAST IN-
DUSTRIAL DISTRICT, UNITS I AND II)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That the following tract of land located in
Wichita County, Texas, be and the same is hereby ordered to be
annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the
City of Wichita Falls , Texas, and the corporate limits be ex-
tended so as to include said tract of land in Wichita County,
Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows:
A tract of land out of Blocks 16 and 25, of the
Kemp and Newby Subdivision of the Cherokee County
School Lands, Abstract 33, Wichita County, Texas.
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of
the North Right-of-Way line of U.S . Highway 287
with the West Right-of-Way line of Howard School
Road, said point being N 00°00 '00" E, 224. 35
feet of base line of said U.S. Highway 287 ;
THENCE S 90°00 ' 00" E to the centerline of
Howard School Road;
THENCE S 90°00 '00" E, 35 feet;
THENCE S 44°26' 17" E, 35.70 feet to a point
that is 200 feet North of the centerline of U.S .

SECTION II. In conformity with Section 6 of Article 970a
of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, before these annexation
proceedings were instituted, the Board of Aldermen called a
public hearing on May 8, 1967 , to provide an opportunity for all
interested persons to be heard; notice of such hearing was pub-
lished once in the Wichita Falls Record News not more than twenty
(20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the public hearing.
Such public hearing was held on May 8, 1967 , which was not more
than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the
institution of these annexation proceedings.
SECTION III. In conformity with Section 3-A of the amended
Charter o the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on
the �i,2 day of May, 1967 , introduced and the City Clerk is di-
rected to publish said ordinance one (1) time in a newspaper of
general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and seven (7) days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted
upon.
This ordinance having been introduced on the a h eday of
May, 1967 , and having been published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, to-wit, the Wichita
Falls Record News, one (1) time, on the ,., , yday of
