AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF VIRGINIA STREET LYING BETWEEN THE SOUTH
ONE HALF OF BLOCK 11 AND THE SOUTH ONE HALF
OF BLOCK 10, SOUTH PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, on May 25th, 1964, the Board of Aldermen of
the City of Wichita Falls , Texas, adopted Ordinance No. 2091,
which closed and abandoned the hereinafter described portion
of Virginia Street, after finding it to be in the public
interest to do so; and,
WHEREAS, the description contained in said ordinance
was ambiguous, and it is deemed advisable to adopt this ordi-
nance in order to clarify the intention of the Board of Alder-
men.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That portion of Virginia Street, being fifty
(50) feet wide, lying between the south one half of Block 11
and the south one half of Block 10 of South Park Addition to
the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and being that portion of
Virginia Street lying adjacent to Lot No. 10 in Block 10 and
Lot No. 7 in Block 11 of South Park Addition to the City of
Wichita Falls, be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2 . The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby
reserves an easement in said land for the purpose of erecting,
laying and maintaining all kind and character of utilities .
